Katie Wilson, MD, MS
Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians
Katie Wilson (she/her) is a Luiseño/Payómkawichum physician and incoming dermatology resident at the University of Minnesota. As the founder of the Native Dermatology National Society, she is dedicated to creating pathways for Indigenous students, physicians, and communities within dermatology.
Inspired by her own experiences as a Native student and patient, Katie's work focuses on advancing health equity, strengthening Indigenous representation in medicine, and building meaningful partnerships with Tribal communities. Her research centers on dermatologic health disparities in American Indian and Alaska Native populations, with a particular focus on cutaneous malignancies and equitable access to care.
Through NDNS, Katie hopes to foster a community where Indigenous students, trainees, physicians, and allies can connect, learn, and work together to improve skin health outcomes for Native communities.
